The Phoenix is an incredible Social Pub and Kitchen site located in the heart Coventry city centre and right next to the University. This truly is a flagship site, invested just 2 years ago and offers an array of reasons to visit.

Trading well and catering to an alternative and diverse crowd, The Phoenix is looking forward to a successful year - already boasting several strong sessions – including established club nights on a Wednesday, Friday and Saturday before rounding off the week with a legendary Quiz every Sunday.

We are looking for a General Manager with the passion, and creativity to inspire and innovate further. The next General Manager of this amazing site should be a confident leader with an eye for detail. You will be passionate about ensuring your pub is best in class across all aspects of the business from food to craft, sport to huge student nights and a top notch weekly activity calendar of events brilliantly executed.

You will have a flair for innovation and marketing of key weekly event management and enjoy staying on top of emerging trends and pushing boundaries to implement new ideas into your venue.

You will be able to grow the food and drink sales through excellent customer service and have experience of managing volume food sales as well as the ability to deliver high volume peak trading sessions and managing the licensing relationships needed to ensure safe delivery of our iconic late night sessions.


As a General Manager, you will need to be able to demonstrate great leadership skills and the ability to build a high performing team in order to control, develop and improve all aspects of the business including: P&L, people, standards, legal compliance, service and brand integrity.
